USCIS should clear the backlogs first, to some extent, because people are stuck here in USA on H1B even after 10 years.. Otherwise they should find a way to pre-register to EAD and GC without all this gimmick approvals of AOS etc.
But this is only in our thoughts, just making memos and making the life of Legal immigrants a mess is the current strategy of the immigratin leadership, this is being done by the anti-immigrant community.
If they are not clearing the backlog, Suffering will be more for all of us who will eternally wait in the Q.

My employer is a big wall street investment bank, and they have filed my PERM on May 14th.
The trend for PERM certification at Atlanta, as per my employer is between 90-120 days. Because they handled so many PERM cases at Atlanta, they know this trend.
Nothing muck we can do here. Just pray and hope for the best.

Both me and My wife were really impressed by the excellent work IV has done and achieved. I have made a contribution (albeit small) in the past, and will very much like to sign up for recurring contributions. We pledge to contribute $50 monthly as soon as my Wife gets her EAD. We were intending to signup for $20/month right away, to upgrade to $50/month on getting her EAD but I do not see that option anymore.
Anyways, my pledge still stands effective on the day we receive my wife's EAD.

Everything depends on how much resources we can put to bare and collectively make an effort. This means, contributions from everyone , Phonecalls to Senators tomorrow onwards from everyone , Webfaxes from everyone , emails to all senators (from all IV members) and of course get as many members as you can to join this effort. We need overwhelming participation from each and every member if we really want to accomplish something big for everyone that takes care of all our interests.

How does one become a "Donor". I have donated to IV SEVERAL times in the past.

CIS and DOS officials are meeting every week after July 07 fiasco. They have a better handle on the visa number utilization than they ever had in the past years. As a result they have max utilization of visa numbers and don't be surprised if DOS decides to move EB2 India and China a month or two back. Neither India EB2 nor China EB2 is going to move past Oct 2004 before Oct 08 bulletin.

This call was strictly for state chapter members of all states. IV core has been meeting DOS and USCIS regularly to find solution to the problems our members have been facing.
Pls take part in the call campaign and contribute funds to be able to find relief.

If implemented, would this cause audits/additional reviews of already approved I-140s? My 140 was approved in January 2007 in EB2 - Exceptional Ability/Advanced Degree. Hope this does not cause any issues for people like me....

I am a bit curious. How did you manage to stay in same company for 7 years. Or did you do labor transfer or changed company using EAD/AP.
Surprisingly, I have been with my employer since 2000. With all the economic issues going on in 2000/2001 it took us 2 years to file my labor.
