He is 100% right. Unless USCIS hire people, our EADs and APs will get delayed. People like me have travel plans in Jan. I do not want to go for Visa stamping. I am concerned.

First of all EAD is not a status. You need to provide them details on whether you are on H1B or AOS / Parolee (if used AP to travel or EAD to work).

Good one ..itsnotfunny....but I will tell you that each one of us does wait with baited breath for the VB .
I am all for the FOIA drive and have promised some money as well. But lets just hope and pray that the VB brings some good news for some of us :)

Hello,
Just wanted to let you know that I received my refund yesterday. My wife and I filed a joint return. We both have SSN's. Just relax folks if you filed your taxes you will receive the refund. I had hoped the money could have been put to better use but oh well the politicians know better.

If you both have SSNs, you WILL get the payment. However, if one person has an ITIN, nobody will get it.

Did get solved by Andrew Wiles in in the mid-nineties. To read about the history and drama behind this theorem, I suggest reading 'Fermat's Enigma' by Simon Singh. So I guess if that can be solved, PBEC could find a way out for all of us.

Just to let u know, during my H1 processing, my H1 was thrown back to my lawyer asking them to send photographs of my workplace and co-workers, server room, my desk. I had to use an entire disposable camera for the same. To make things even funnier, i was not even the First one to be on H1 in my company. We had atleast 7-8 H1's at one point in time. The reason given for a throw back was, that this company seems quite new and small.
I know this is off topic, but since someone has raised this point albeit in jest, i thought i should let people on here know that UCSIS has it's own whims and fancies at times. So if something similar has happened to you in the past know that you may not be alone. :)

Even large companies start as small and such small companies need high skilled US educated immigrants to innovate and grow the business. This is a problem not just with H1B applications but with green card applications. I am sure other people would have faced this situation when they filed their GC application through a small company with low annual income.

Try FHA option with BOA. All they need is only proof of last two years employment.
And good credit score(not bad but at least good). Thats it. They will approve it without any problem.
I got my home after 1st year of H1B. At that time my perm status approved only.
Try FHA its very nice program.
Pros: Loan approval is very simple and you dont need to put any heavy downpayment
Cons: Once they give you loan you can not sell this within 3/5 years.
Just sharing my personal experience.

Lets take the help of our brothers and sisters in Inda to get GC .. let them help us while we help them..

Thank you to everyone who read the USCIS document and did not press the panic button. The memo talks about a 2 step process....for most of you I don't see how it affects your GC dreams...relax...they will be fulfilled. No sweat...(or convince me otherwise...after all I did get the I-140 exceptional ability in the art or sciences..etc..without labor certification.)

There are lot of good/standard consulting companies ... Some are 'con' but they can't create massive impact , however the MNC's do MANIPULATION at a large scale.
Do not generalise all consulting companies...At least people working in these consulting companies sponsored GC and buying house and spending their money here. Most of the fradulent GC process was done by these croocked indian companies. They exploited the EB1C system to the maximum extend. Most of the times, they are not filing the GC and keep the employees as slaves or they exploit the EB1c fo their boot lickers.

I am an H1B holder.... my wife holds an H4. Her DL expired and it has been impossible to get her a renewal. On our last discussion it was brought to our attention that their could be a discrepancy between DHS data (my wife's birthday) even it shows correct in all documents printed by them and the Indiana's BMV database. Meanwhile she is holding 'Temporarily Driving Permits' (piece of paper) that expires every 30 days....

Called Senator Ensign and Hatch's office again.
They both listened to what I had to say and assured that they will pass the message on to the Senators.
One of the aides sounded surprised when I told her average wait time is at least 10+ years, please call senators in the list.
