Question: Can person A on an H1B start own business while continuing to work with current H1B job? Can the business be not related to ones profession? Can a person on H4 visa start his won business too? Any answer is appreciated!

Hi Folks,

I have a unique situation. Well.. I have been working for a Company A that is owned by my uncle. Iam on H1B in 2nd year and I have my I-140 approved 1 month back. Now I got a new job in another company B with 3 times the current pay of mine. I want to change to the company B.

My uncle said that he will continuing the process of my GC application, under EB2 in his company A. But I want to transfer my H1B only to the new company B, so I can get into the company B's payroll and get benefits. Can someone suggest how we can handle this without messing up with the current GC process with company A. Does changing to company B under new H1B impacts my GC processing. Can we show that the company A is processing my GC under future employement, though I worked for company A before..

Please advise the consequences and my options.. I badly want to work for company B..without stopping my GC processing with company A..

I appreciate your help in advance

According to the Orlando Sentinel: LeMieux appears likely to steer clear of Martinez's controversial attempts to overhaul immigration law, which would include a path to citizenship for the undocumented. Don't know if it will help anybody since i'm a June filer. I didn't file EAD along with AOS in June, but on July 11th i filed EAD with 485 RN. My check got cashed on the 13th and got the receipt# from the back. The case status says they received the application on 12th. I haven't got the Receipt notice yet though. I did write I-765 on the package.

My mother is a GC holder since 91. I came to US in 2002 on F1 and then H1 and now GC.

Will the fact that my mom was a GC holder and I did not use that impact my GC? I have answered all the questions correctly(true i mean) always.

My parents are planning to apply for visitor visa. My aunt (dad's sister) has applied a immigrant petition for him about 4 years back and it is still in process. If my dad applies for a visitor visa which is non-immigrant intent, will he face any issues with issuance of visitor visa ?

I see the following address in the I-485 form. But it is a PO Box address.

Lincoln NE 68501-7485

I think Fedex will not accept PO Box address. Is it true ? So, what is the correct address for sending I-485 and I-765 using Fedex Overnight ?
